Understand the Warm/Cool Tone of Your Watercolor Palette

In watercolor painting (or any painting media in general), colors are associated with warm and cool tones based on their undertones and how they interact with other colors. This distinction is important for color harmony, depth, and mood in a painting. Warm colors tend to advance in a composition, creating a sense of closeness and energy, while cool colors tend to recede, giving a sense of distance and calmness. But what if I tell you there's a warm & cool version of every color, including grey? Will that make watercolor painting more confusing or perhaps more exciting for you?
